These two attractive cottages
were skillfully converted in 2000
from a 17th Century barn situated
on the outskirts of the small village
of Runcton Holme in West Norfolk,
on a working farm near the farmhouse. Thorpland Manor Barns are peacefully
situated on the edge of the Fens
overlooking grass meadows and arable
fields and with beautiful sunset
views, yet easily accessible to
the A10. |
There is a resident horse nearby and ponies or cattle might be grazing in the summer on the grass meadow at the front of the barns. To keep the cottage atmosphere the “Barns” are furnished with locally crafted solid pine furniture and all the rooms are attractively decorated. All beds are made up ready for your arrival and bath and hand towels are provided but please bring your own towels to use around the swimming pool. Cots and highchairs are available for children under two years of age at no extra charge. We love well-behaved children but do not accept dogs or other pets in Timbers or Rafters Barn. So whether you want a Summer Holiday where you can enjoy a barbecue and relax in the peace and sunshine on your own patio, or whether you want a winter break where you know that you can come back to somewhere comfortable, warm and cosy then “Timbers” or “Rafters” make the ideal choice. |
Archway Barn and Gable Barn are now available for you and are decorated and furnished to the same high standards as Timbers Barn and Rafters Barn. Wheelchair users welcome. Archway Barn and Gable Barn both sleep 6 + cot (no cot linen provided). Ground Floor Stairs to First Floor |
